We are proud to announce that we have achieved the Carnegie Centre of Excellence Mental Health Award at GOLD level. We are the only Pupil Referral Unit in the country to have qualified for the award at this level.
To gain the award, we had to evidence our provision across eight areas including how we support staff and pupils, how we work with parents, how we train our staff and how our school is structured.
We were found to be excelling in all areas.
The report stated: “Bishopton Pru has provided a wealth of evidence to support the workbook, and I have no hesitation in recommending Gold award for the school. The evidence is both abundant and exemplary and highlights the work the school has done in recent years to ensure the positive mental health and well-being of pupils, families and staff.”
Mental Health and well-being is at the core of our values and underpins everything we do. We believe in everyone having a voice, everyone being heard and everyone having the right to access quality mental health support.
Going forward, we are already thinking about improving our parent offer and sharing our knowledge and expertise with other educational settings across the country.
