The Great North CityGames will be hosted, for the very first time, in the Tees Valley, right here in Stockton, on Saturday 7th September.

Stockton High Street will be transformed to welcome world class athletes, including our very own Teesside Tornado Richard Kilty, to compete in a top class live athletics event. The event will be broadcast live on BBC1. On the very same day we will also be hosting the Great Tees 10k, Junior and Mini runs. And if this isn’t enough, the High Street will feature a jam-packed events village to entertain all, including a climbing wall, inflatable assault course, craft activities, giant lawn games and much more, as well as the river being animated with a variety of planned activities throughout the day – there really is something for everyone.

We are looking for runners of all ages and abilities to be a part of the event too.  Everyone can sign up and take part in either the 10k, the Junior (4k) or the mini (2k). All participants will receive a t-shirt, a medal and a goody bag. The course is flat and fast and we’ll have plenty of entertainment and cheering stations en-route to keep you motivated! The runs will all take place in the morning giving you the perfect opportunity to join in and then enjoy the live athletics action on the High Street.

Places are limited, so sign up now to secure your place –  HTTPS://WWW.GREATRUN.ORG/GREAT-TEES-10K

Plus, we also have a great volunteering opportunity

We would like to recruit a number of energetic and enthusiastic volunteers to support the delivery of the event from course marshals, water station marshals, visitor information staff, to event support staff.

It’s a great way to get up and close to the action and be an integral part of an exciting event.
